Star Wars Jedi: Survivor trailer has been released, with a 2023 release date planned. Electronic Arts (EA) has released a roughly one-and-a-half-minute-long teaser trailer for the sequel to the 2019 action game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. It reintroduces us to Cameron Monaghan’s Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis, who is still on the run from the Empire. Given that he spent so much time in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order cultivating alliances, his seeming isolation is extremely shocking. While the trailer has an impressive appearance and feel, these images are not actually from the game.

The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor contains just enough Star Wars graphics to thrill the brand’s most devoted fans. It provides additional confirmation that the game will be released in 2023.

Douglas Reilly, vice president of Lucasfilm Games, stated in a prepared statement, “We could not be more delighted to announce Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the next chapter of Cal Kestis’ journey to players worldwide.”

Star Wars: Survivor will be more “complex and sophisticated” than its predecessor, according to Monaghan.

“I adore it when stories evolve alongside their characters and viewers. I’m thrilled to unveil the project on which @lucasfilm @respawn @eastarwars and I have collaborated for the past few years. Monaghan tweeted, “I’m glad to announce that #JediSurvivor is a sophisticated, mature, and exciting evolution for an adventurous, ambitious game.”

According to Metacritic, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order garnered “generally positive reviews” upon its 2019 release, with fans appreciating its combination of campaign mode with action RPG gameplay. Will Star Wars Jedi: Survivor be able to elevate the franchise? Next year, the game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
